15Five is looking for a rock-star public relations manager who can share their talent for creating narratives and stories to highlight the vision and goals of 15Five for all media channels and experts. We have many stories to tell about the rapidly changing world of continuous performance management through our research, customers, and leaders on how we’re helping to transform organizations to empower their employees and managers to be their best selves. We are looking for a detail-oriented self-starter with a strategic mind, strong relationship-building skills, and a track record of executing successful public relations, strategic communications, or marketing programs. The ideal candidate must have experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.

The 15Five PR Manager will be responsible for developing and supporting programs that include but are not limited to workplace communications, partner communications, analyst relations, and employee programs. The candidate will be deadline-driven, an excellent communicator, and a strong writer. This position plays a critical role in a fast-paced company, and the candidate needs to be prepared to skillfully manage multiple programs from strategic planning through tactical execution.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, this position based in San Francisco and involves periodic travel.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Help manage the day-to-day relationship with external public relations agency
    • Develop proactive communications plans to spotlight 15Five's corporate efforts, including workplace and partner
    • Plan PR strategy (timing, messaging, exclusives) for all news communications
    • Support and review development of Thought Leadership content
    • Counsel cross-functional teams—inclusive of senior executives, investor relations, finance, people operations, corporate development, legal, products, sales, marketing, and more—on initiatives that position 15Five favorably with media and other external audiences
    • Represent  the communications/PR team cross-functionally to ensure alignment around business objectives and to advance broader company initiatives
    • Assist with approval on press release copies
    • Develop strong key relationships inside and outside the company—including with business and workplace culture-focused media
    • Handle inbound requests for interviews with key 15Five people and creates researched and simplified pitches for them
    • Manage journalist relations for key 15Five people in coordination with our PR Agency
    • Support business development; provides relevant case studies and recognition
    • Plan and facilitate photo shoots; ensures that biographies are kept up to date and to 15Five standard and style
    • Prepare pitches and presents them to applicable folks (15Five and PR Agency)
    • Proactively identify titles relevant to 15Five work
    • Ensure media lists for the United States are up to date
    • Monitor coverage of 15Five online/offline; takes screenshots/press clippings
    • Identify content and helps with write-ups for the 15Five internal newsletter to effectively communicate company announcements, milestones, and business updates
    • In partnership with the PR agency, identifies Tier 1 and 2 analyst partners and create a program and timeline to update and educate them on products, services, and philosophy of 15Five
    • Create interview guides for 15Five leadership and product team for all analyst briefing
    • Develop a strategy that aligns analysts with other 15Five programs and opportunities to include engagement (15Five conference and events, marketing programs and campaigns, content, press releases, etc.)
    • Source and manage all award application opportunities
    • Support and manages website pages (company pages—about us, our story, advisors, and press)
    • Ensure messaging is current and shared throughout the company (boilerplate, short description, messaging document) and coordinate efforts with the content and product marketing team

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    • 4-6 years of public relations experience. Experience in enterprise software/technology either in-house or with an agency a plus
    • Ability to understand the technology and translate into public relations strategies, messaging, and compelling stories
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with media and influencers
    • Track record of counseling senior executives and establishing trusted and productive relationships
    • Understanding of how social media and content creation translate into resources for journalists, bloggers, and other influencers
    • Strong strategic thinking, writing, communications, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills
    • Strong organizational skills with a proven capability to manage everything from strategy to detail
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent proven competencies

    • Create the narrative and PR strategy for the next two quarters and align with the vision and goals of 15Five
    • Design analyst program and timeline
    • Identify all awards that 15Five should apply for and complete applications
    • Create a PR bench within 15Five and conduct training so that all members are certifiedUpdate messaging document, short description, and boilerplate
    • Update website page: Press

DESIRED IMPACT BY THE (12) MONTH MARK:

    • Increase awareness of 15Five within our analysts' community
    • Establish a permanent by-line for at least one member of senior leadership
    • Create narratives for members of senior leadership to leverage their voice and work on pitching those voices to expand our reach
    • Identify and submit for at least five awards
    • Solidified narrative and research-campaign strategy, and initiate the process
    • Update all website pages (About Us, Our Story)
