OVERVIEW 

We are seeking a Head of Marketing to take our marketing programs to 15Five's next stage of growth.

The Head of Marketing is a seasoned B2B marketing leader who can build an innovative go-to-market strategy, understands high velocity product-led growth and how to sell upmarket and cross-sell into enterprise for both SaaS product and services. She/He is a unique, passionate, and cutting edge marketing leader with the vision and experience to lead a high-growth company. 

This role requires someone who lights up at the challenge of breaking the status quo by bringing 15Five’s approach to performance management into companies of all sizes. The Head of Marketing reports to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and will continue building and leading a team of high-performing marketers. Serving as a key member of our senior leadership team (SLT), the Head of Marketing is someone who is inspired by our mission of creating highly-engaged, high performing organizations by helping people become their best selves and our vision of unlocking the potential of every member of the global workforce. This person authentically lives 15Five's values and possesses a deep understanding of the fundamentals of human psychology as it relates to building trust and rapport and creating need and urgency. She/He understands both how and why people buy as well as which marketing strategies and tactics are most effective.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Set current and long-term goals; define and implement a cohesive strategic marketing plan for SMB to enterprise through both product-led growth and account-based strategy.
    • Work closely with Product on defining roadmaps, understanding competitors, understanding our users, and driving cross functional growth teams to improve conversion rates.  
    • Avidly self-educate on topics such as the principles of human psychology and behavior, cutting edge Marketing trends, and tactics used across other industries and disciplines​ in order to continually iterate on strategy and create competitive advantage.
    • Lead, mentor, inspire and grow a team of 10+ high-performing marketers.
    • Evangelize and model company values, 15Five Best-Self Management philosophy and practices, Senior Leadership Team decisions, company policies and tools.
    • Set and exceed brand awareness goals and continue shaping market perception through integrated campaigns.
    • Continue to craft and refine a compelling narrative on how 15Five presents itself to the world  

    • Ensure a trusted, progressive, and charming brand which differentiates 15Five from competitors.
    • Ensure that the visual identity and editorial voice and tone are successfully conveyed by customer facing teams to represent the brand and ensure consistency. 
    • Lead the development of 15Five’s corporate narrative and thought leadership channels  to continuously increase our global market leadership.
    • Build a community of HR/People Operations professionals and managers.
    • Develop specialized strategies for our target segments that build our lead funnel and convert to closed-won deals, applying customer and data insights to continuously improve conversions.
    • Manage internal and external event and conference strategy.  Oversee global events and deliver an incredible experience when prospects and customers interact with our brand.
    • Set and oversee the annual marketing budget and spend. 
    • Own the competitor landscape and 15Five product positioning. 
    • Ensure to- and thru- partner content is included in broader marketing strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    • 10+ years of B2B SaaS marketing leadership experience, including success scaling a marketing org through high growth and exceeding the team’s ambitious goals (to $50M in ARR and beyond)
    • Previous success in leading visionary, high-impact demand generation and corporate marketing strategies that consistently beat business objectives and created a community of raving fans and customers
    • Experience with shaping or expanding of a successful, cutting edge brand
    • The ability to attract, develop, retain and lead a world class marketing team
    • Experience managing marketing budgets with demonstrated success increasing return on marketing investments
    • Cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with all business functions
    • Fluency with several of the following technologies: Salesforce, Pardot, Demandbase, Bizible, Qualtrics, and PathFactory

    • Launch robust video strategy in accordance with best practices 
    • Increase conversion rate from MQL to Sales opportunity by improving lead quality

SAMPLE WEEK IN THE LIFE

    • Monday: Participate in Monday Boost and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings; review previous week’s KPIs and ensure team alignment to priority OKRs for the week, meet with Design team, prep for analyst call, review and consolidate branding agency copy , respond to 40+ messages
    • Tuesday: Complete four 1-on-1s with direct reports; align with Sales on top priorities and recent campaign performance, prep for Revenue Leadership meeting presentation, review and provide feedback on website copy deliverable
    • Wednesday: Participate in Wednesday Boost meeting and Monthly Manager Mastermind training,  lead discussion in Revenue Leadership Team meeting about updated messaging and enablement materials for Sales and Success, review Marketing dashboards,  complete two 1-on-1s with direct reports, respond to 40+ messages
    • Thursday: Participate in SLT meeting, meet with PR, AR, SEM, and video agencies to review KPIs and upcoming campaigns, draft updated Role and Performance Agreement for a new role, revise marketing budget, lead weekly Marketing team meeting, meet with People Ops rep regarding employee support
    • Friday: Participate in Question Friday Boost, Complete 15Five and review team’s 15Fives; execute action items prior to next week’s SLT meeting, review SLT channel updates, respond to 40+ messages
