We are seeking remote Recruiter Support Specialist to join our team in Colombia.
We are looking for someone that can do administrative tasks/requests in a timely manner throughout the day – mainly, this would be someone skilled in MS Word, Adobe PDFs (ability to quickly edit documents/resumes) – experience using AI is a plus as we are starting to incorporate more of this technology each day.
Working Hours: Close time zone (Central or Eastern)
What we are looking for?
- Skills and experience.
- US Geography Expertise: Strong understanding of US regions, states, and major cities, including economic hubs and industry clusters (e.g., manufacturing in the Midwest, construction in Texas, engineering in Silicon Valley).
- Familiarity with regional nuances, such as cost-of-living differences, relocation trends, and local job markets (e.g., knowing why a candidate in rural Ohio might differ from one in urban California).
- Ability to map client locations and candidate pools geographically to optimize sourcing strategies.
- Sourcing and Recruitment Platform Proficiency: Advanced experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and other job boards to source active and passive candidates.
- Skilled in Boolean search techniques to identify candidates with specific job titles, skills, or certifications (e.g., searching for “Mechanical Project Manager” with PMP certification).
- Ability to navigate LinkedIn to identify candidates at competitor firms or within specific industries, leveraging company pages, groups, and job postings.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines efficiently.
- Industry and Role-Specific Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction, engineering, and manufacturing industries, including key roles like Mechanical Project Manager, Regional Sales Representative (Capital Equipment), Civil Engineer, or Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Familiarity with role-specific responsibilities, such as a Mechanical Project Manager overseeing HVAC system installations or a Regional Salesperson managing capital equipment deals for industrial clients.
- Awareness of industry certifications (e.g., PE for engineers, OSHA for construction, Six Sigma for manufacturing) and how they impact candidate qualifications.
- Knowledge of industry ecosystems, including how companies interact (e.g., general contractors vs. subcontractors in construction, OEMs vs. distributors in manufacturing).
- Competitor Analysis and Talent Mapping: Ability to identify and research companies that compete with your clients to source candidates with directly relevant experience (e.g., finding Regional Sales candidates from rival capital equipment firms).
- Skilled in analyzing company structures, market positioning, and employee profiles to pinpoint talent pools with matching skillsets.
- Proficiency in using tools like LinkedIn, Crunchbase, or Hoovers to build lists of competitor firms and their key personnel.
- Skillset and Experience Matching: Expertise in interpreting job descriptions and matching candidate profiles to niche roles (e.g., distinguishing between a Mechanical Project Manager and a Project Engineer based on scope and experience).
- Understanding of transferable skills across industries (e.g., how a sales role in industrial automation aligns with capital equipment sales).
- Ability to assess candidate resumes for relevant project experience, such as managing multimillion-dollar construction projects or achieving sales quotas for high-value equipment.
- Cultural and Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication to engage with US-based candidates and clients professionally.
- Cultural awareness of US workplace norms, including expectations for responsiveness, professionalism, and candidate interactions.
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to follow up with candidates and maintain a positive candidate experience.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to strategize sourcing approaches based on client needs, such as targeting candidates in specific regions or industries to meet tight deadlines.
- Data-driven mindset to track sourcing metrics (e.g., response rates, time-to-fill) and optimize recruitment processes.
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges like candidate shortages in niche roles by exploring adjacent industries or creative sourcing methods.
