The 1Password Partner team proactively works to support our partner ecosystem to get the most value in their investment in security and privacy by establishing long term strategic relationships and acting as a trusted advisor. Partners are a core focus for the future growth of 1Password.

Reporting to the Head of GTM Partnerships, the Sr. Manager, Alliances will help Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to establish, strengthen, and maintain a strategic partnership with AWS . In this role, you will be responsible for: building key relationships with stakeholders at AWS, managing the Alliance team, and executing on plans that drive revenue contribution. 

Your experience with managing partnerships will help us as we begin developing a strategy to build future alliances that align to GTM business objectives and seek opportunities to increase our presence within our existing alliances.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

    • 7+ years of experience in a partnerships management role or related with 1-2 years managing people. 
    • In-depth knowledge and experience with AWS partner ecosystems, technologies, and solutions. 
    • A proven track record of success in developing and managing strategic alliance/sales/partner relationships with business and technical teams, specifically with AWS. 
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the proven ability to craft and deliver C-level presentations and captivate an audience. 
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills with the demonstrated ability to take the lead on complex problems, break them down into smaller steps, and seek out solutions and opportunities independently.
    • Excellent interpersonal with the demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
    • Strong leadership capabilities, with the proven ability to inspire teams to deliver outstanding results. 
    • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with Sr. level stakeholders and decision makers.
    • Proven experience in working with and/or coaching diverse teams. 

What you can expect:

    • Work with Head of Partnerships & other GTM leaders to design, execute, and manage the strategy and business plan for 1Password Alliances with focus on market penetration, revenue growth, industry alignment, and solution identification, aligning it with our go-to-market approach.
    • Translate Alliance Partnerships strategy and objectives into a roadmap targeted sales plays that will drive revenue contribution through alliance partners. 
    • Foster and develop key relationships with senior stakeholders and decision makers  (e.g., SVP of Alliances, C-level, etc.) and serve as strategic point of contact for our alliance partners. 
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product, etc.) to understand current products/solutions and future roadmap to inform opportunities to expand existing alliances and establish new relationships.
    • Ensure consistent engagement with alliance partners to identify opportunities to build and evolve our presence throughout the alliance. 
    • Drive process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Manage the Alliance Partnerships staff, providing direction, support, and resources they need to perform and grow. Is responsible for the development, engagement, and performance of the Alliance Partnerships team.
USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $153,000 USD and $207,000 USD and is commission eligible. The role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $145,000 CAD and $196,000 CAD and is commission eligible. The role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
