Do you want to build the foundations of a better web alongside a passionate, high-impact team? Do you want to help tackle some of the most novel challenges in decentralized tech, working closely with our rapidly growing open source community and many of the best technologists in the world?

3Box Labs is on a mission to transform the web's relationship with data. Our identity and data infrastructure is already used by 1500 of the world's most ambitious applications. Ceramic Network, the recently launched sovereign data network we helped create, is the building block that will let millions of developers reinvent how they manage data.

We have huge and novel challenges ahead, as well as rapid growth and opportunity. We need impact-driven, intentional, fast-learning teammates to join us in realizing the vision of a more trusting and connected web.

The Role
As the first marketer for Ceramic Network, you will create widespread excitement about Ceramic, first amongst Web3 developers and then amongst other technology communities.

Success in this role...

    • Our messaging is clear, compelling and constantly improving with feedback, testing, and targeting. Our communications across the team are built on a consistent and powerful brand positioning, whether for product marketing, dev tutorials, or content campaigns.
    • Our team consistently publishes engaging content that attracts and educates developers. You write compelling content and product marketing and coordinate + support others on the team to effectively create and share release notes, tutorials, and other technical content.
    • Ceramic is constantly referenced in other communities and on social media, driven by both consistent engagement from our team and a highly active community representing us.
    • You work closely with product teams to craft releases and features that will delight our HXCs and key segments
    • Our team and community are a major presence at notable community gatherings, speaking on stage, hosting events, and sponsoring hackathons.
    • We capture incoming prospects in owned channels (twitter, email newsletter, discord subscribers, etc.) that are constantly growing, effective at re-engaging developers, and efficiently managed.
    • You help the BD, partner and product teams create effective and memorable collateral and talking points to engage developers and teams.
    • You have executed against low-hanging fruit on SEO, SEM, and other marketing campaigns, and manage + source resources for bigger projects, PR, and other efforts where appropriate
    • We are attracting developers and builders for both our technology and what we stand for, making our community a hub for the Web3 movement.
    • We are developing a data-driven approach to our funnel, with content, communications and marketing being efficiently deployed to where it is most effective. We are developing a strong hypothesis on what our dominant distribution channel will be at scale.
    • Our marketing efforts balance immediate impact on our growth goals and crafting a long-term, highly respected brand and voice.

You're likely a great candidate if you have ...

    • 5+ years of standout product marketing experience in technology, ideally with a developer-facing or technical product
    • Exceptional writing and communication skills. You ask probing questions, have a knack for finding the simplest essence of an idea, and craft powerful messages.
    • Comfort working across marketing disciplines, with exposure across the marketing function and a firm grasp of the core tools and frameworks
    • Ability to work extremely well with developers, with an understanding of the developer mindset and mindfulness of different working styles
    • A nose for results: you prioritize efforts towards what will most move the needle, use evidence to inform your choices, and make progress in the face of uncertainty and incomplete information
    • High agency and resourcefulness, finding ways to get things done in any environment. You enjoy being extremely productive individually, and when needed you can marshal peers, agencies, or your own team effectively.
    • Bonus points for: experience in Web3/crypto or other mission-aligned space; product or engineering background
The Team
We are a lean, voraciously curious team spread across Europe and the East Coast. We are impact driven, intentional about our role, communications and actions, and intensely focused on building quality tools for our open source community. We believe a better model for managing identity and data online can give power back to users and builders, that this model is key to a growing movement, and that our team is a critical part of making that movement successful.

We pay competitively and fairly across the globe, offer great and flexible benefits, and view everyone on our team as an owner -- both with generous equity grants and lots of agency to help set our direction.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We cannot succeed in our mission without it. People that identify with groups traditionally underrepresented in tech are particularly encouraged to apply.
