Do you want to build the foundations of a better web alongside a passionate, high-impact team? 3Box Labs is building the data rails for Web3, Ceramic Network. Already used by 1500 of the world's most ambitious applications, Ceramic is the building block for composable data.

You'll tackle some of the most novel challenges in decentralized tech, work closely with our rapidly growing open source community and many of the best technologists in the world, and help reinvent how data is managed online.

The role
Help Web3 developers understand, appreciate, and succeed in using Ceramic.

Success in this role

    • You represent Ceramic and demo its value in our community (discord, etc.) and the broader Web3 community online.
    • You represent Ceramic at events (live and virtual); within 6 months you or others on the team are being invited to speak at nearly all Web3 events
    • You create content, demos, tutorials and tools that help developers understand and use Ceramic more effectively, helping smooth and improve the developer experience and funnel
    • You are a trusted point of contact for the developer community, whether on understanding the ecosystem or in helping with their development questions
    • You work closely with the product and developer experience teams on 3Box Labs to ensure they understand developers' needs, goals and pain points and can address them, and to understand the features and improvements that are being shipped so you can help communicate them to the Ceramic developer community
    • Open source activity (PRs and forks) is increasing as the developer community gets more engaged
    • You are a welcoming presence on discord, in community calls, at events, and elsewhere to help foster growth and engagement in the Ceramic community
    • You support developer questions and issues, solving where possible and working with core engineers from appropriate teams to solve other times
    • Usage of Ceramic Network is generally increasing, with growth led by authentic and effective developer relations

You're likely a great candidate if you have:

    • Flexible technical skills with a focus on application development (e.g. JavaScript, React, GraphQL, etc.) that let you understand the Ceramic stack and work with it to create demos, content, and more
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to help communicate with a diverse and global developer community
    • An entrepreneurial mindset, with resourcefulness and grit to figure things out and make an impact even in the midst of uncertainty and change
    • A "seek first to understand" mentality that has you always learning more about Web3 developers, what they need, and how to advocate for them
    • Great organization for yourself and ability to quickly coordinate goals and progress with other parties
    • A desire to follow the Web3 rabbithole around all sorts of corners
    • A sense of motivation from making other builders successful
    • A community-first attitude that lets you work with other community members who want to assist in advocating for and supporting the Ceramic developer community
The Team
We are a lean, voraciously curious team from across the globe. We have 4 years of expert remote work experience and frequent (and awesome) team retreats to spend time together. We are impact-driven, intentional about our role, communications and actions, and intensely focused on building quality tools for our open source community. We believe a better model for managing identity and data online can give power back to users and builders, that this model is key to a growing movement, and that our team is a critical part of making that movement successful.

We pay competitively and fairly across the globe, offer great and flexible benefits, and view everyone on our team as an owner -- both with generous equity grants and lots of agency to help set our direction.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We cannot succeed in our mission without it. People that identify with groups traditionally underrepresented in tech are particularly encouraged to apply.
