RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Strategise and develop the core BI visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
    • Collaborate with BI Engineers on the design, development and maintenance of data models.
    • Collaborate with fellow Data Analysts to ensure we are building the right data marts and identify areas of improvement in our BI processes.
    • Maintain thorough knowledge of existing and emerging datasets and metric definitions to ensure that they are well documented in a metric library.
    • Ensure data visualization best practices and principles are followed for implementation
    • Consistently socialize and evangelize the BI ecosystem, so business users can tap into existing reports
    • Maintain knowledge on the latest updates of BI tools to leverage new features or capabilities
    • Ensure to Scope, prioritize and coordinate activities with the product owners.
    • Partner with technology teams to identify solutions required to establish a robust MIS environment
    • Design and develop complex queries which cater to data inputs for the dashboards/reports from large data sets.
    • Work on agile improvements by sharing experiences and knowledge with the team.
    • Ensuring data quality through developing gatekeeper, outlier notifications.

REQUIREMENTS

    • Demonstrated expertise with a minimum of 5+ years of experience as BI engineer or similar role
    • Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases and database design.
    • Strong data visualization skills using Tableau Desktop for complex visualizations and dashboards.
    • Knowledge on Connecting multiple data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence
    • Experience working with cloud Data Warehouse solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery etc.
    • Experience in organizing KPIs and dashboards as well as reading metric trends to evaluate business performance
    • Experience in gathering BI requirements and structuring specifications to produce business-relevant datasets, reports and dashboards
    • Passion for democratizing data effectively to the wider organization for self-serviceKeenness to innovate and improve the BI process beyond basic reporting.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to collaborate effectively with both the business and the technical side
    • Proven ability to work independently and with a team.
    • Ability to guide other BI engineers

NICE TO HAVE

    • Experience with any ETL tools / technologies 
    • Good understanding of data transformation and integration 
    • Tableau Server administration
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis and data mining techniques
    • Understanding of cloud platforms for hosting Tableau Solutions.
    • Working knowledge of Python and/or Scala
    • Working knowledge on CI/CD work flows and automated deployment.
    • Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI or QlikView.
    • Certification in Tableau Desktop or Tableau Server.
