We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Workday Techno-Functional Consultant with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Core HCM and Absence Management. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in managing functional configurations and should be comfortable working across business and technical teams to support and optimize Workday processes.

Responsibilities

    • Workday Core HCM Configuration
    • Configure and maintain Core HCM functionalities
    • Ensure accurate worker data management and seamless organizational structure updates.
    • Absence Management Administration
    • Design and configure time-off and leave plans, accrual rules, eligibility criteria, and calendar setups.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to absence balance discrepancies and time-off transactions.
    • Ensure compliance with global/local leave policies.
    • Business Process (Workflow) Configuration & Optimization
    • Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday Business Processes (BPs) such as:
    • Hire
    • Job change
    • Termination
    • Time-off request
    • Manager change
    • Define condition rules, approval chains, notifications, and security policies within workflows to ensure smooth and compliant HR operations.
    • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to redesign or optimize workflows to reduce cycle time, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve user experience.
    • Performance Optimization
    • Monitor and assess system performance and process execution time.
    • Recommend and implement optimization strategies such as:
    • Streamlining calculated fields
    • Minimizing custom validations where possible
    • Reducing unnecessary steps in business processes
    • Perform regular system audits and data quality checks to maintain system integrity.
    • Issue Resolution and Support
    • Serve as a key point of contact for day-to-day Workday issues, configuration queries, and data inconsistencies.
    • Analyze root causes and implement long-term fixes.
    • Provide Tier-2/3 support for internal HR or operations teams.
    • Testing and Change Management
    • Participate in unit testing, system testing, and UAT for system updates, enhancements, and Workday releases.
    • Document test cases, scenarios, and outcomes for audit readiness.
    • Assist with release management, including regression testing and feature rollout planning.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to understand business needs and provide appropriate Workday solutions.
    • Translate functional requirements into technical configurations.
    • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
    • Maintain up-to-date configuration documents, process maps, and training guides.
    • Educate end-users and HRIS team members on new features and process changes.

Qualification:

    • Must have either of Bachelor's/Master's degree: BTech/MTech/BSc/MS/BCA/MCA
    • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Workday Core HCM and Absence Management or similar modules
    • Should have experience in workflow configuration and maintenance
    • Should have supported L2/L3 level tickets form different stakeholders
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
    • Self-starter with problem-solving skills and an eye for process improvements.
