We are looking for a passionate, experienced product designer to lead our User Experience Global Practice. In this player/coach role, you will lead a talented, driven global team of UX designers, and collaborate closely with other practice leaders. You will be part of the Product Development Leadership Team - a cross-functional team that encompasses Product Strategy, Engineering, Architecture and more.   The Senior Director, Global User Experience will ensure their practice performs at a high level, is deeply integrated with other practices and they will support crafting a digital experience for our clients.

Responsibilities: 

Growing the craft of UX at 3Pillar 
•Represent design and user experience to senior management, commercial team, product management, and engineering

•Drive quality of design processes both in terms of client impact and consistency.  This should include defining a design philosophy, principles and guidelines and ensure they are consistently applied

 
Thought leadership and sales support
•Drive go-to-market success for the practice when sold alone or as part of a bigger engagement

•Encourage team members to create content (articles/posts/podcasts) with support from marketing 

•Be active in the design community beyond 3Pillar

•Support our sales team in identifying opportunities, talking about our capabilities and developing case studies 


Team Operations 
•Manage operations for a team of 20+ in three countries across three continents. Drive operational maturity for the practice at global scale from sales to short term engagements to long term engagements

•Match talent to the needs of our engagements 

•Ensure team members are well equipped and supported on engagements

•Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve user experience team efficiency and impact

•Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems

Digital Experience for 3Pillar clients 
•Lead the team including vision, strategy and roadmap 

•Support cultural, process and training change across the company 

•Accountable for budget, team performance and business results 

 
Qualifications:

•10-15 years of digital product design

•7-10 years of experience in more than one of the following areas: user experience, information architecture, creative design, and product strategy

•7-10 years of leading & managing a large UX team focused in the enterprise products/solutions space. Experience with distributed teams is a plus. 

•Passion for managing and mentoring designers

•Demonstrable UI and visual design skills with a strong portfolio - you must be able to showcase and speak to your portfolio, and how your work qualifies you for this role

•Experience developing and evolving design systems

•Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process
