About the Role
The Sustainability Impact and Data Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing systems to track, analyze, and report on the sustainability impact of the startups in our programs  This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, research methodologies, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to a diverse range of stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing

    • Collaborate closely with startups participating in our Sustainability Innovation Programs to define, monitor, and evaluate their approaches to impact measurement.
    • Foster a culture of impact accountability and build internal capacity within portfolio startups to measure, manage, and communicate their contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
    • Contribute to the design and development of comprehensive impact measurement strategies, tools, and frameworks identifying company-specific key performance indicators alongside technical mentors and 500 staff.
    • Develop and operationalize frameworks for assessing the environmental, social, and financial impact of startups supported through the Sustainability Innovation Programs.
    • Develop and implement data collection tools and systems, integrating with the firm’s data collection processes and systems, including managing and maintaining databases of impact data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
    • Lead the evaluation and analysis of impact data collected from startups, developing relevant metrics and indicators to track progress and performance over time.
    • Preparing data-driven reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, effectively translating impact metrics into actionable recommendations and strategic guidance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • At least 5 years of professional experience in impact measurement, monitoring, and evaluation, either with non-profit foundations, financial institutions, consultancy businesses, or social impact organizations, including impact-driven startups in the sustainability space
    • Bachelor or Master degree in relevant discipline such as Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or a relevant quantitative or policy-oriented sectors
    • Experience with data tracking management and processes
    • Proven ability to present complex impact data in intuitive, visual formats 
    • Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects across disciplines, with a track record of aligning diverse internal and external partners toward shared impact goals.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from both qualitative and quantitative data.
    • Comfortable working in cross-functional, globally distributed teams; excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
    • Fluent in English and one or more regional languages
