About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Associate Strategic Development to be based in Malaysia to help us on this journey.
You will analyze financial data, strategize and facilitate fundraising efforts, monitor portfolio performance, build relationships with co-investors and founders, identify strategic partnerships, provide consulting and fundraising services, and assist in M&A and exit initiatives.
Candidates with prior experience in a consulting firm, VC, private equity, investment bank, or a related role in a startup, have demonstrated a strong track record of fundraising for companies, exceptional communication skills, and experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments may apply for this role. You will work with our existing Strategic Development team members, as well as our General Partners.
Job Description
- Analyze financial data and identify key areas for improvement for portfolio companies
- Assist in strategizing, facilitating, and acquiring downstream capital for portfolio companies
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance on a continuous basis and provide updates to investment team
- Grow and maintain relationships with our network of co-investors across the region and beyond
- Maintain close relationships with our founders to understand key areas of focus to achieve fundraising milestone targets
- Identify and execute on strategic partnerships for portfolio companies with governmental agencies, corporates, and other relevant ecosystem players.
- Provide general in-house consulting and fundraising services for portfolio companies
- Assist in executing on M&A and exit initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnerships, growth or strategy or business development role
- Prior experience in a consulting firm, VC, private equity firm, investment bank, or a related role in a startup
- Demonstrated track record of assisting in fundraising for a company/companies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, where production and presentation of data and initiatives are concise and compelling for capital providers and partners
- Experience working at a high growth organization, fast-paced and lean-driven unstructured environments, where goals, priorities and roadmaps may evolve quickly
- Work well under pressure, with a high degree of dependability, adaptability, and flexibility.
