challenges, and empowering your teammates to succeed excites and inspires you, join us as
we champion hope and work to advance our aspiration to find therapies for cystic kidney
disease.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Scientist with deep expertise in renal disease
biology, assay development, and early drug discovery to lead and expand our growing pipeline
for kidney diseases. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by identifying,
validating, and advancing novel targets for kidney disease therapies. As a key member of our
team, you will lead discovery projects from concept to preclinical validation, shape experimental
strategies, and contribute to hands-on research while fostering innovation and collaboration.

What You'll Do

    • Develop and apply high-content imaging approaches to analyze cellular and molecular mechanisms in drug discovery.
    • Generate, analyze, and interpret experimental data to inform drug discovery strategies.
    • Provide scientific leadership to ensure discovery projects align with company goals and timelines.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry and computational biology, to drive project execution.
    • Develop and manage relationships with external collaborators, CROs, and academic partners.
    • Facilitate data-driven decision-making, effectively communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Stay up to date on advancements in kidney disease research and emerging drug discovery technologies.
    • Maintain a hands-on role in the lab while mentoring and developing junior scientists.

What You'll Bring

    • Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology or a related field with 7+ years of industry experience.
    • Experience in small molecule drug discovery, with translational experience considered an asset.
    • Strong background in phenotypic assays for lead discovery and target validation.
    • Proficiency in advanced imaging, high-content screening, and omics approaches to characterize 3D cell cultures.
    • Expertise in image data analysis, with proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for tasks such as image processing, feature extraction, and data visualization
    • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to think independently to design experiments and generate robust, reproducible, and generalizable results.
    • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
    • Proven track record of solving complex biological mechanisms.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver high- impact presentations.
    • Passionate about advancing kidney disease research and developing transformative therapies.
