About the Role
AI Fund is launching a new venture in Generative AI and seeking a Founder in Residence (FIR) to lead it from concept to company. This is a ground-floor opportunity for a technical builder with proven 0–1 product experience to shape, execute, and scale a venture.
As Founder in Residence, you will define the product vision, lead technical execution, and serve as the company’s CEO. You’ll apply deep GenAI expertise and product intuition to solve meaningful user problems—working in close partnership with a Product Builder, Technical Builder, and AI Fund leadership. This role demands high ownership, rapid iteration in ambiguous environments, and a founder mindset.

What You’ll Do:
- Strong technical fluency in GenAI, LLMs, and modern ML frameworks.
- Hands-on experience shipping full-stack, cloud-native applications.
- Proven track record of building and launching 0–1 products.
- Comfortable leading in ambiguity and acting without perfect information.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (product, design, GTM).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills that inspire alignment and trust.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience presenting to investors or participating in capital raises.
- Deep knowledge or strong familiarity with our target industry (e.g., renewable energy, infrastructure, compliance, etc.).
- Previous co-founder or founding engineer of VC-backed software company.
Preferred:
- Prior startup or founding engineer experience.
- Familiarity with fundraising or technical stakeholder communication.
- Domain expertise in the venture’s target vertical(s).
