AMIRI is looking for a passionate, highly motivated, and creative Senior Store Designer to join AMIRI’s Retail Design Studio. This person will work within an in-house team to support retail projects in the US and internationally. They are expected to share responsibility for studio design and production and should be able to collaborate seamlessly with designers, architects, contractors, fabricators, and other partners on multiple projects. Applicants should be comfortable with the interior design process and managing documentation from concept through production and installation. Experience in retail design is a plus.
 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Works collaboratively across multiple design projects end-to-end, owning specific work streams from concept to handover within each project
    • Creates, prepares, and presents design concepts for review using digital models and visualizations
    • Creates project documentation including the submission of a full drawing set, specification writing, and construction administration (submittal, RFI, ASI/IDSK review/response and consultant coordination)
    • Actively leads engagement with Visual Merchandising, Store Planning, Retail Ops, and various teams to ensure design intent is incorporated into documentation packages
    • Assists with the development of office documentation standards and practices
    • Sources materials, produces specifications, and reviews contractor submittals for conformance to design intent
    • Participates in project coordination, construction administration, site visits, and maintains quality control during construction as needed
    • Responsible for custom furniture, fixture, and millwork design and documentation

Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years relevant experience with Store Design, Architecture/Interiors education and background
    • Strong management skills with ability to multitask in all design phases
    • Professional-level production skills with proficiency in Rhino, Revit, Adobe CC, and visualization/rendering software (V-ray, Enscape)
    • Knowledge of local showrooms, vendors, resources, and industry trends
    • Thrives in a dynamic, creative environment

$110,000 - $125,000 a year
Salary will be based on experience.
