The Venture Fellow Program
Alumni Ventures’ Venture Fellow program is a year-long VC fellowship that educates and empowers diverse professionals to launch their careers in VC. This part-time, remote professional development program provides aspiring Venture Capitalists with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the venture capital industry while building core VC 101 knowledge and skills. No prior experience in VC is required.

The mission of Alumni Ventures' Venture Fellow Program is to provide world-class professional development and hands-on learning opportunities in the venture capital industry, thereby serving as an onramp to careers in VC for early- and mid-career professionals. A core part of the program’s mission is to further diversity in the VC ecosystem, in particular, to provide opportunities to traditionally underrepresented or previously excluded groups. Individuals of all genders, races/ethnicities, industries, experiences, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Application Deadline and Process

October 16, 2022 - Application Deadline
January 17, 2023 - Formal Start Date for January 2023 Cohort

The Venture Fellow Program utilizes one central application to assess and admit Fellows across our funds, including alumni funds, our Blockchain fund, and our AV seed fund. In your application, you will be asked to indicate your fund team of interest. When reviewing applications, the admissions committee takes into consideration various factors when matching fellows with a specific fund, including alumni affiliation and area of interest/expertise. Fellows who have an alumni affiliation with one of our alumni funds (e.g. Green D Ventures, Dartmouth affiliation) will typically be considered for that alumni fund.

Fellows of all university affiliations are welcome to apply to the Venture Fellow Program.

We invite candidates of all backgrounds to apply for the Fellow program and are eager to elevate candidates from underrepresented backgrounds into the venture capital space. We are actively seeking applicants from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) including Hampton University, Howard University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Xavier University of Louisiana, among others.
