We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and support business decision-making. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, familiarity with Argentinian financial regulations, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including management, HR, compliance, and external accounting firms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage the book keeping, payroll processing, weekly cash forecast, financial forecast preparation, etc
- Get involved in filings of VAT, Turnover tax, Withholding and income tax returns.
- Vendor management;register suppliers and verify their tax status
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to management.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
- Prepare financial statements and budgets according to schedules.
- Assist with tax audits and returns.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Supportinternal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain strong internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
General Ledger & Compliance:
- Manage general ledger functions, ensuring timely reconciliation and accuracy.
- Work closely with third-party accounting firmsand auditors.
- Provide technical support and advice to the Global finance team
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Participate in financial standards setting and forecasting.
- Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process.
- Plan, assign, and review staff work.
Collaboration & Business Support:
- Work closely with Management, HR, and Compliance teams.
- Collaborate with foreign clients and entities to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Provide insights into Argentinian company laws and tax regulations.
- Work with third-party accounting firms for compliance and audits.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a Accounting Supervisor, Chief Accountant, or Senior Accountant.
- Understanding of Argentinian company laws and financial regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and GAAP.
- Experience working with multi-entities and intercompany accounting
- Awareness of business trends and financial best practices.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software, including Flexus and QuickBooks.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite.
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative analysis.
Nice to have skills:
- Basic understanding of US financial laws and taxation.
