Our agile, cross-functional teams work closely with clients, either integrating with their teams or providing independent guidance—to deliver measurable results and build lasting partnerships.
We are seeking a hands-on QA Lead to introduce and mature a structured quality process for a BI application that aggregates sales and marketing metadata (e.g., Salesforce, Gong, Google Analytics, SalesLoft) to deliver actionable insights for high-velocity, early-stage companies. The product is live in production; you will lead the transition from an informal to a formal QA lifecycle, combining process leadership with practical manual and automated testing.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Define the QA strategy and own a living QA test plan aligned to the product roadmap.
- Develop and maintain a regression test plan and ensure consistent execution each release.
- Document clear, traceable test cases and keep test assets up to date as features evolve.
- Organize and schedule QA activities; leverage internal manual testing resources effectively.
- Perform manual testing for new features, regressions, and production validation when needed.
- Monitor Jira boards and transitions to plan, prioritize, and track QA work.
- Update, triage, and reassign Jira tickets; maintain high-quality bug reports and traceability.
- Establish quality gates and lead QA signoff before merging the QA branch into production.
- Build and maintain automated tests for UI, API, and data validations; increase coverage over time.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enable reporting on quality status.
- Collaborate daily with product, engineering, and US-based stakeholders on scope, design, and release criteria.
- Define and track QA metrics (e.g., defect leakage, pass rates, automation coverage) and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to test data management, including synthetic data for data-centric validations.
- Champion risk-based testing, release readiness reviews, and post-release retrospectives.
Hard Skills:
- Experience creating QA strategies, test plans, and regression suites for SaaS or data-driven products.
- Strong manual testing skills across UI, API, and data validations with solid defect management.
- Hands-on test automation experience for UI and APIs using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD and working with Git-based workflows.
- Proficiency with Jira or similar tools for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Solid SQL skills and experience validating data transformations and reporting accuracy.
- Familiarity with BI or analytics products and data integration concepts..
It's a plus:
- Experience with synthetic data generation and data quality frameworks such as Great Expectations or dbt tests.
- Exposure to integrations with platforms like Salesforce, Gong, Google Analytics, or SalesLoft.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins and test reporting dashboards.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured and contract testing practices.
- Performance and reliability testing exposure (e.g., JMeter, k6) and basic security testing practices.
- Background in multi-tenant SaaS, release management, and branching strategies for QA and production.
Soft Skills:
- Proven leadership with the ability to coach, prioritize, and drive accountability across teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; comfortable with US-based teams and fast-paced environments.
- Strong ownership, organization, and attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Structured problem solving and high comfort with ambiguity while introducing new processes.
