Join Aprio's Learning and Development team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities.  Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Learning Experience Designer to join their dynamic team. 

Aprio's Senior Learning Experience Designer is responsible for designing strategic learning solutions that align learning ecosystems with our team and firm goals, designed to drive measurable results. This dynamic role involves conducting training needs and gap analysis, collaborating with stakeholders, and applying adult learning principles to develop engaging and interactive learning experiences. The Senior Learning Experience Designer produces a range of instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, blended learning solutions, and in-person conferences, all of which adhere to NASBA’s CPE requirements. The team member works with significant autonomy, coordinating the entire design process, including meetings with subject matter experts and external partners. The Senior Learning Experience Designer uses a variety of learning design tools and is comfortable working with Learning Management Systems such as LCvista and Workday. 

As a key member of Aprio’s Learning and Development team, the Senior Learning Experience Designer will support the firm’s mission to offer a variety of technical, leadership, and professional development experiences supporting team members on their career journey. The candidate for this role should have a strong foundation in instructional design tools like Articulate 360 with the ability to build learning that is relevant in a professional services environment. In addition, the candidate should possess a strong consulting background or experience in cross-functional collaboration, be naturally curious, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable, with a passion for creative problem-solving and a strong analytical mindset. Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to challenges will be essential to their success in this dynamic environment.

Core L&D Functions:

    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess learning needs, measure training effectiveness, and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Design and develop self-paced, virtual instructor-led, and in-person learning experiences and simulations supporting leadership and professional development, and technical training.
    • Serve as a producer for virtual and in-person training through Zoom and Conferences io to ensure programs are educational, engaging, technically sound, and user-friendly, leading to a successful learning experience for team members.
    • Prepare program evaluation reports using feedback and performance data to measure training program impact and improve future development initiatives.
    • Systematically assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs based on learners' needs and objectives following the ADDIE model.
    • Develop high-quality and branded deliverables by proofreading materials and projects with strong attention to detail.
    • Design and integrate evaluation strategies, leveraging the Kirkpatrick Model, to ensure training programs align with and drive performance outcomes.
    • Complete necessary learning administration tasks, including creating course rosters, updating attendance in LCvista, and preparing training reports for SMEs and L&D leads.
    • Stay abreast of business, process, and skill needs, ensuring developmental opportunities remain relevant and delivered in the most effective format, or shifting based on Aprio's evolving needs.
    • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the Learning & Development inbox.

Communication, Project Management and Time Management Functions:

    • Execute multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring their effective and timely completion, leveraging leadership support to prioritize as needed.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with external facilitators for process improvement, timely content delivery and relevant curriculum development in line with NASBA standards.
    • Coordinate and schedule training sessions to ensure maximum participation and minimal operational disruption, documenting all programs in the L&D calendar for training across modalities (group live, group internet-based, hybrid, and self-study) and communicating expectations to team members, in collaboration with Learning Coordinators.
    • Demonstrate strong communication skills when working with stakeholders, training audiences of various sizes, committees, leaders, and vendors.
    • Develop detailed agendas and schedules for live programs and events, including session topics, speakers, and activities, in collaboration with Learning Coordinators.
    • Facilitate communication and coordination among all stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy in to successfully execute projects.
    • Support L&D annual planning process (update planning templates and schedules, plan and schedule training, and compile resources for upcoming training and programs).

Technology Functions:

    • Leverage software, such as Articulate 360, Beautiful.ai, LCvista, Workday, Grammarly, MS Office Suite, and general AI to develop training, run reports, and improve workflow.
    • Prepare for virtual and in-person programs by testing and troubleshooting IT needs such as software access, permissions, and IT support availability.
    • Support software implementation efforts that impact learning and development functions.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, Communications, Human Resources, or another related field is required
    • Instructional Design Certificate from Association of Talent Development (ATD) is preferred
    • Certified Learning & Development Professional (CLDP) certification from the Institute of Learning and Development is preferred
    • 4+ years of experience coordinating in-person, virtual, and hybrid event management logistics.
    • 4+ years of experience applying adult learning principles to develop, design, and deploy training, including professional and leadership development courses.
    • 4+ years of experience evaluating training program effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and assessments, making continuous improvements based on insights.
    • 4+ years of demonstrated organization, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate on a diverse team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • 4+ years of experience leveraging technology to create diverse training materials, including guides, presentations, videos, and live recordings, fostering a dynamic learning environment.
    • 4+ years of experience working in a professional services environment.
