The Head of Carbon Insurance at Arbol will spearhead the development and management of insurance products tailored for both voluntary and global compliance carbon markets. This pivotal role involves innovating parametric insurance solutions that facilitate secure and effective investments into nature-based projects, aligning with global sustainability goals.

What You'll Be Doing

    • Develop and implement strategies for new carbon insurance products targeting the voluntary and compliance markets, with a particular focus on parametric solutions.
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and regulatory requirements that impact the carbon markets.
    • Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams to ensure the viability and profitability of insurance products.
    • Foster relationships with stakeholders in the environmental sectors, regulatory bodies, and the insurance industry to enhance product offerings and ensure compliance.
    • Lead a team focused on carbon insurance, nurturing a culture of innovation, efficiency, and growth.
    • Represent Arbol at industry events and conferences to promote our carbon insurance solutions and gather insights from market leaders.
    • Monitor and manage the financial performance of the carbon insurance portfolio, aligning efforts with Arbol’s strategic business objectives.

What You'll Need

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with extensive knowledge of environmental or carbon market products.
    • Proven expertise in developing parametric insurance products and understanding of nature-based solutions and their market dynamics.
    • Strong leadership skills, capable of driving team success and fostering innovation.
    • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in managing complex projects.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
$150,000 - $200,000 a year
