Role Summary:
Arcade is seeking an experienced, creative and execution-focused Senior Merchandising Consultant to help with the growth of its home decor business. This role will be central to how customers experience Arcade — from launching new categories, new makers and AI models to supporting marketing.
The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for design, fluency in digital merchandising, product development experience and experience working with product designers, manufacturers, and vendors. This is a short-term, full-time contract role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is energized by working at the intersection of aesthetics, commerce, and technology.
This is a hybrid role (4 days per week on-site) at Arcade’s office in the Presidio, San Francisco.

Responsibilities
- Assist in product development and merchandising in home decor categories, aligning product strategy with brand vision, customer data, and seasonal trends.
- Assist in onboarding new artisans and brands in home decorPartner with external stakeholders to develop new product lines, shaping assortment, pricing, and trend direction.
- Collaborate with engineering on AI models.
- Contribute to product experimentation cycles, providing merchandising hypotheses and insights based on performance data.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in merchandising, with a particular emphasis on home decor.
- Previous experience in home decor product development and sourcing.
- Prior work at a design-forward or luxury brand.
- Strong visual taste and ability to independently merchandise across style aesthetics and price tiers.
- Experience managing vendor or designer relationships to develop new products or collections.
- Comfortable operating independently and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
Nice to have!
- Exposure to AI/ML tools in a merchandising or product recommendation context.
- Existing relationships with influencer agencies, stylists, or interior designers.
- Experience in PR or event-based merchandising (e.g., for showrooms, pop-ups, launch events).
