Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Review and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Cash-Flow Management: Assist in developing comprehensive cash-flow budgets and financial projects. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and support strategic initiatives.
Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Implement and monitor segregation of duties to enhance control effectiveness.
Intermediary Role: Serve as a liaison between the family office and external legal and accounting services. Coordinate with external partners to optimize services and ensure alignment with the family's financial goals. Evaluate services provided by external service providers to assess in-house viability.
Expense Tracking: Diligently monitor, record, and maintain supporting files for all office and personal expenses, including those related to various residences, to ensure accurate accounting and budgeting.
Expense Authorizations: Approve expenditures, ensuring they align with the office’s financial policies and budget constraints.
Wiring for Expenses: Oversee the wiring of funds for office and family expenses, maintaining meticulous records for each transaction.
Wiring for Investments: Manage the process of wiring funds for various investment opportunities, ensuring timely and secure transactions.
Credit Card Monitoring for Employees: Regularly review and monitor employee credit card usage to ensure compliance with office policies. Work as a liaison with credit card providers to adjust account needs.
Liaison for Employee-Related Matters: Field issues related to various human resource managers/employee needs, including coordination with employment and benefits counsel.
Managing Payroll: Oversee the payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Approve payroll reports on a bi-weekly basis.
Managing Employee Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and meet the needs of our staff.
Insurance Oversight: Oversee all insurance needs of the family office. Collaborate with insurance providers to ensure comprehensive coverage, manage policy renewals, and assess risk management strategies.
Operational Execution: Be willing to handle lower-level financial tasks, especially in the initial stages of this new role — this includes day-to-day financial operations, data entry, and other operational duties as necessary.

Skills Required:
Strong financial acumen and experience in financial management and reporting
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Proficient in MS Office and financial management software
High level of trust and integrity
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Capacity to handle both high-level strategic responsibilities and hands-on tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience Level:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred
5-10 years of experience in accounting/finance plus a minimum of 3 years experience in a family office or similar environment
