As a Technical Program Manager at BDG, you will be essential in ensuring all engineering products and services are successfully delivered (e.g. against scope, cost, time, quality) and maintained through business operations. You will be responsible for aligning cross-functional stakeholders on initiatives that work toward larger organizational goals. This includes oversight of the full project lifecycle from inception to implementation with the ability to manage multiple project statuses and teams. 

You will also be heavily involved in user acquisition efforts and will need a strategic and results-driven mindset. You’ll align engineering, revenue operations, business intelligence, and editorial on how to run a/b tests, report on results, and measure success. This position sits within the engineering org, and you will need to have the technical prowess to understand software development and implementation well enough to break down these concepts to other organizational stakeholders. 

Core Responsibilities

    • Plan, implement and manage large scale concurrent technical projects
    • Develop strong cross-functional business relationships with senior and mid-level executives
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and influence others to ensure successful project deployment
    • Understands key business and technology drivers, ideally within the media/publishing industry
    • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams through influence where direct reporting lines do not exist
    • Proven ability to ensure projects meet or exceed organizational KPIs
    • Manage and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions

    • 5+ years program or project management experience
    • The candidate must have proven experience working in a complex, matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders
    • Strong negotiation and issue resolution skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership
    • Expert understanding of project & program management processes
    • Solid understanding of software development life cycle
    • An understanding of digital media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and media distribution technologies is preferred, but not required
$180,000 - $190,000 a year
