W Magazine is seeking a Social Media Editor to join the digital team. The ideal candidate will have a strategic vision to move the brand forward in the social media space and a deep understanding of—and passion for—the types of fashion and entertainment culture that W covers. This role will oversee the publishing of content across platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Responsibilities

    • Manage W’s social strategies across platforms
    • Grow traffic goals through each social channel
    • Manage W’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest pages
    • Regularly pitch and write editorial content and monitor overall performance
    • Use analytic tools to track growth and success across social channels and manage weekly reporting

Requirements

    • 2-4+ years experience working in social media
    • Strong writing and editing skills as well as a detailed eye
    • Thorough understanding of W's voice and a passion for using social platforms to reach our audience in innovative ways
    • Ability to identify and apply emerging, on-brand trends to W’s social strategy
    • Advanced knowledge of social analytics tools
    • Some night and weekend availability required
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Willingness to alter workflow with a sense of urgency
    • Exceptional communication skills
