Overview: The Biden For President campaign is seeking a talented and experienced creative professional to lead the campaign’s design program. The Design Director will manage the design team and help ensure that the campaign has a cohesive brand identity. The individual in this role should have significant experience creating content for social media, as well as leading a team of designers to produce impactful work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design team and foster a positive team culture.
- Maintain the campaign’s style guide and ensure that there is a cohesive brand identity.
- Ensure that the team is creating content as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Oversee hiring and ensure that new members of the team are effectively onboarded.
- Give notes and constructive feedback.
- Lead team meetings and brainstorms.
- Ensure that the team has clear direction in creating work across a number of mediums.
- Manage the team budget and ensure that we’re effectively allocating resources as well as maintaining strong relationships with vendors and freelancers.
- Collaborate with teams across the campaign and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Ensure that members of the design team are being as productive and effective as they can be.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience producing content for social media.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and a knowledge of collaborative design tools such as Figma.
- Significant experience leading and managing creatives.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms and an understanding of how to optimize content for each.
- The ability to guide content design across a number of different platforms and mediums, including social media, merch, events, email, and ads.
- Experience maintaining a style guide and overseeing brand identity.
- Experience creating political content.
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- The ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively with others.
- Experience managing budgets.
$120,000 - $145,000 a year
