Biden for President is seeking energetic, detail-oriented, creative problem solvers to support the People Team across various disciplines with Human Resources. As a People Team intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of the People Team department including People Operations, Human Resources administration, Employee Experience, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Talent Management, Learning & Development and Recruitment. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop HR and People Team skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support various People Team leaders in their daily tasks and projects
- Assist in coordinating workplace events, workshops and activities both in our Wilmington HQ and remotely
- Support with administrative tasks related to hiring, onboarding, culture-related events, workshops and trainings
- Assist with HR administrative tasks, like updating employee files or maintaining HR records
- Help to coordinate and run the the BFP internship program by building relationships, scheduling events, preparing speakers, taking notes, sending communications and supporting the flow of the program
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing team events or recognition programs
- Handle other team-wide daily tasks and undertake special projects as needed to reinforce the People function
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program or recent graduate; interest in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in and passion for fostering a healthy workplace
- Passion for democracy and campaigns
- Loves building relationships with diverse groups and meeting new people
- Passionate about serving others and helping employees
- Can move in a fast-paced environment; thrives in high energy environments
- A self-starter with strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience on a political campaign preferred, but not required
$17 - $17 an hour
