Overview:We are seeking talent to help lead us to victory in 2024. We are looking for highly motivated, passionate, and talented state Political & Coalitions Directors who can build an in-state political team to activate diverse stakeholders. These roles will be based in states across the country, and will require in person work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with impactful grasstops leaders and their organizations
- Manage the state Political & Coalitions Department
- Develop and implement the campaign’s political and coalitions plan that includes stakeholder management, a coalition outreach program, and a surrogates program
- Manage and strengthen political relationships with allies, elected officials, candidates, county parties, and supporters
- Plan, craft, and recruit into the campaign’s key coalition groups for events, earned media, and paid communications opportunities
- Implement cross-departmental structures that integrate key constituency and stakeholder outreach with other departmental tactics to ensure culturally relevant pathways to increasing engagement
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Deep relationships with key stakeholders in state, including campaign work during at least 3 cycles in state
- Extremely thorough knowledge of political realities on the ground
- Experience building and managing coalitions to take meaningful action
- Ability to communicate with multiple audiences effectively
- At least 2 cycles of experience managing staff
- Strong understanding of culturally competent community organizing and demonstrated ability to work with grassroots community organizations
- Willing to relocate to a battleground state
$102,000 - $114,000 a year
