Overview:
The Biden for President campaign is seeking Research Associates to assist the campaign’s rapid response research program. This position will work as part of a team to produce and maintain comprehensive research books and also develop documents for the communications team that can be used to generate public-facing content. Applicants should have great political instincts, an awareness of the current political and media climates, and a basic understanding of major policy issues. 

Key Responsibilities

    • Read, analyze, and format news clips, legislative voting histories, campaign finance data, corporate filings, public government records, legal records, and related items. 
    • Monitor and extract key points from local and national news. 
    • Create fact sheets and maintain an archive of core information and statistics (i.e., economic indicators, healthcare facts, and similar items).
    • Maintain research books that support and defend the administration’s record and accomplishments. 
    • Simplify complex issues into factual and concise narratives. 
    • Other duties as assigned to support the campaign’s goals. 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Ability to keep up with the 24 hour news cycle. 
    • An understanding of politics and the national media environment. 
    • Experience with Nexis and other research databases is highly preferred. 
    • Prior political research, campaign, or other government experience preferred. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. 
    • Strict attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. 
$50,000 - $55,000 a year
