The Biden For President campaign is looking for a detail-oriented Photo Editor & Digital Asset Coordinator to join the Biden For President (BFP) team. In this role, you will be responsible for selecting and color correcting images for release and coordinating and communicating with various departments to manage image approval. You will also be in charge of writing and modifying captions and keywords for images, tracking image approvals, and managing a digital archive of campaign images. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as a digital archivist and photo editor in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. The position is full-time and based in Wilmington, DE. This position will require work outside of a traditional 9-5 schedule including nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform activities as a digital librarian/archivist related to classifying and archiving digital assets.
- Maintain organization, file naming conventions, and metadata for all digital assets
- Select and color correct photos for immediate releases as well as general edits
- Ensure consistency in color correction, exposure, and composition across all visual assets
- Ensure that all visual assets meet the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Perform thorough quality checks to identify and address any issues or inconsistencies
- Collaborate with teams at several organizations on photo approvals and distribution.
- Work with the communications and digital teams to provide quick-turn photos for press and social media
- Ability to travel occasionally to support onsite ingestion and image management.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional digital asset management and photo editing experience
- Strong proficiency in Photoshop, Lightroom and PhotoMechanic
- Excellent understanding of color correction at high volumes
- Experience with digital asset management tools and systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of file formats, resolution, and optimization for various digital platforms
- Demonstrated editorial judgment in photograph composition and selection
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to turn around work quickly.
$60,000 - $65,000 a year
