The Biden For President campaign is looking for a meticulous and organized Project Manager to oversee the operations and workflow of our design team. In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating the seamless collaboration of multidisciplinary teams to produce outstanding design solutions that meet campaign objectives, design standards and exceed expectations. You will ensure the smooth execution of projects, from conception to delivery, by coordinating tasks and managing timelines. The ideal candidate for this role will be a mid to senior-level project manager that has a comprehensive grasp of various project management techniques, tools, and approaches, coupled with a great understanding of design principles and processes. This position is full-time and based in Wilmington, DE.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create project briefs, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, resource requirements and key milestones.
- Coordinate all aspects of design projects, including scheduling and task management. Conduct regular meetings and check-ins to gather feedback, manage expectations, and ensure alignment with project goals. Explain design needs, specifications, and standards to colleagues in a clear and concise manner.
- Act as point of contact for other departments, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and managing feedback.
- Provide administrative support to the design team, assisting with file management and structure, documentation, and workflow optimization. Ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain accuracy of project documentation, including project plans, status reports, communications with other teams, and meeting minutes.
- Conduct reviews of design deliverables for high-level initiatives and sub-brand initiatives working alongside creative leadership to ensure they meet quality standards, brand guidelines, and project specifications.
- Identify potential risks and obstacles that may impact project success and develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address issues proactively, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and objectives.
- Evaluate project management processes and workflows regularly, identifying opportunities for optimization and refinement. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance project delivery capabilities.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5+ years in experience in project management
- 1+ years of experience managing designers, creative teams or creative projects is highly desirable
- Expert with tools such as Monday, Asana, Trello, or Basecamp
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
