Overview:

The Biden For President campaign is looking for a talented creative to join its video team, with a focus on capturing content from the Vice President’s campaign events. The ideal candidate for this role has experience filming and editing video, a passion for politics, and an understanding of what resonates with viewers on various social platforms. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in an ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities:

    • Capture video from the Vice President’s political eventsHelp set up and manage video shoots
    • Edit videos using a mix of original footage, news footage, and archival footage
    • Create videos tied to big events, such as rallies and debates
    • Work under tight deadlines to create original, shareable videos for social platforms
    • Come up with high-potential concepts for new videos
    • Help manage video shoots as they come up
    • Guide videos through the internal approvals process
    • Analyze video performance and use data to ensure that videos have the potential to reach millions of people

Requirements:

    • Experience in all facets of video production, including filming, lighting, and audio recording
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere
    • Experience editing videos for social platforms
    • Experience working with a variety of different cameras
    • Knowledge of lighting design
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
    • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team or crew
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Effective communication skills
    • Knowledge of what works on various social platforms
    • Experience filming at events is a plus, as is experience filming with principals
$80,000 - $90,000 a year
