About the Opportunity:
This job opportunity is for a senior-level role leading BTSE’s crypto credit card partnerships.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of card issuance — from identifying and onboarding suitable card issuers to overseeing product integration and ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end partnership development process with card issuers for BTSE’s crypto credit card product, including identifying suitable issuers, evaluating capabilities, and negotiating commercial terms.
- Serve as the primary liaison between external card issuers and internal stakeholders, particularly the Card Product Manager, to ensure seamless product integration and alignment with business goals.
- Evaluate and recommend card issuance partners based on regulatory compliance, technological infrastructure, and operational capacity.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify and pursue potential clients or business use cases for the crypto credit card offering.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the card issuance process, from partner onboarding to post-launch optimization, ensuring smooth execution and continuous improvement.
- Provide subject matter expertise on card scheme rules, BIN sponsorships, KYC/AML processes, transaction settlement flows, and related operational aspects.
- Facilitate internal communications and alignment across Product, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and BD teams regarding card-related initiatives.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in card issuing, payment partnerships, or fintech product operations, with deep understanding of credit or prepaid card programs.
- Strong knowledge of card issuing workflows, including BIN sponsorship, card manufacturing, KYC, transaction processing, and settlement.
- Proven track record of sourcing and managing relationships with card issuers, processors, and network partners (e.g., Visa, Mastercard).
- Familiarity with crypto-related card products is a strong plus.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build consensus among diverse teams.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to drive projects from ideation to execution.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

- Crypto & Web3 Knowledge
- Experience with crypto exchanges, crypto payment products, payment companies, e-wallets.
- Understanding of on-chain/off-chain settlement, on off ramp, Stablecoins, or DeFi protocols relevant to card funding.
- Regional Regulatory Expertise
- Familiarity with EMEA, APAC, or LATAM card issuance regulations (especially in emerging markets).
- Experience working with multi-jurisdictional compliance teams or licensing processes.
- Product Strategy & GTM
- Exposure to product lifecycle planning, pricing models, or go-to-market strategy for financial products.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business requirements and customer value propositions.
