About the Opportunity:
As a Senior Settlement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring both the accuracy of our settlement operations and the strength of our external stakeholder relationships. This role has two key directions depending on your expertise:
1. Reconciliation & Data / Process Optimization – focusing on reconciliation, exception management, workflow improvement, and data-driven analysis to strengthen financial controls and drive operational efficiency.
2. External Communication & Partner Liaison – serving as a primary contact point for JV and Whitelabel partners, coordinating settlement activities, resolving issues, and ensuring seamless alignment with external stakeholders.
Whichever direction your strengths lie, you will also collaborate closely with internal teams, safeguard transaction accuracy, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our settlement processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate handling of settlements, maintaining full alignment with records and supporting details.
- Manage and track deposits and withdrawals, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Oversee settlement reporting, ensuring compliance with client agreements, internal policies, and operational standards.
- Lead daily reconciliations in collaboration with Treasury.
- Conduct data analysis on settlement and reconciliation activities to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for efficiency.
- Act as a senior liaison for settlement matters, coordinating resolutions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by optimizing workflows, enhancing internal controls, and preparing reports for management oversight and future audit readiness.
Requirements
- Candidates may bring strengths in either of the following directions:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Settlement Operations, Treasury Operations, or related financial services.
- Strong knowledge of financial products (e.g., FX, Money Market, Securities, Digital Assets) and settlement practices.
- High attention to detail, strong numerical sensitivity, and a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to effectively communicate across teams and external counterparties.
1. Reconciliation & Data Focus – proven experience in reconciliation, exception management, data analysis, and process optimization.
2. External Communication Focus – demonstrated ability to liaise with external partners (e.g., JV or Whitelabel), handle settlement coordination, and resolve issues across multiple stakeholders.
