About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Operations Technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the backend systems that power key operational workflows—from reconciliation and forecasting to risk management and reporting. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to understand complex operational needs and transform them into scalable, reliable software solutions. This is a hands-on technical role with real business impact.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services and APIs to support operations workflows and internal tooling.
- Develop robust reporting systems for reconciliation, forecasting, and risk analysis.
- Automate manual processes and optimize data flows to improve operational efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical implementations.
- Work with legacy systems and bridge integration using Java, while building new services in Python.
- Integrate with third-party platforms and APIs as needed.
- Collaborate across teams and contribute to architectural decisions using MVC principles and service-oriented design.
- Containerize and deploy services using Docker and maintain Unix-based environments.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong backend focus.
- Proven ability to take ownership and deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
- Passion for technology and a desire to explore new tools and paradigms.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments where business and technology meet.
- Java – Proficient in maintaining and extending legacy code.
- Python – Strong hands on experience in backend development and scripting.
- SQL – Advanced query writing for reporting and reconciliation use cases.
- Bash – Familiar with shell scripting for automation and server management.
- Unix/Linux – Strong knowledge of Unix systems for deployment and operations.
- Docker – Containerization and orchestration experience.
- HTML/CSS – Basic frontend skills for internal dashboards or tools.
- MVC Architecture – Solid understanding of structured code organization and application design.

- Exposure to blockchain technologies or interest in distributed systems.
