With your help,  we will maximize the social and commercial potential of the Internet of Things.

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will make an impact on product quality and manufacturing
processes for Blues products. You will work collaboratively with hardware engineering and operations;
and external development and manufacturing partners in the creation of new products and improvement
activities for existing products.

What You’ll Do:

    • Partner with Hardware Engineering to evaluate PCBA design and manufacturing processes during the prototype phases
    • Identify and track open issues and risks during the development process to mitigate risks to cost, quality, and schedule.
    • Develop processes and procedures to support and maintain the Blues quality system.
    • Define and develop test and measurement methods for Blues products and processes.
    • Perform root cause and failure analysis on product returns and technical issues.
    • Drive corrective and preventative actions with internal and external team members.
    • Define, report, and evaluate Manufacturing and Quality Production KPIs
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement activities

What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field. Electronics engineering is strongly desired.
    • 2 or more years of related experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality Engineering
    • Knowledge and Experience in PCBA design and manufacturing: DFM/DFA/DFT, Failure analysis, ICT and FCT, IPC-A-610
    • Ability to read and interpret PCBA drawings and schematics
    • Knowledge of soldering techniques and experience/willingness to solder as needed
    • Experience managing overseas Contract Manufacturers
    • Experience developing quality control plans, supplier quality audits, failure analysis, and root cause corrective actions
    • Experience in the development and evaluation of measurement systems
    • Experience with project management, lean six sigma, and root cause analysis tools such as SPC, 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, measurement system analysis, gauge R&R, etc
    • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
    • Experience with statistical software tools
    • Effective multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively with frequent shifts in direction.
    • Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 20%
