Blues is seeking a high-performing Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team reporting to the Content Marketing Director. We’re looking for an innovator to help define and grow our brand presence and community across priority social media platforms - LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit and Hackster.
 
In this role, you will have a voice in defining and growing the Blues brand among enterprise B2C customers and developers. You will have a high degree of creative freedom on a team where risk-taking, experimentation, and iteration are celebrated, and the ‘best idea’ wins. We promise no slow and burdensome content approval processes. We believe that the organic nature of social media and brand building go hand-in-hand. We believe social media engagement is more important than follower count. We care about your outputs and achievements, not micro-managing your inputs and day-to-day activity.     • You are creatively minded so you know how to communicate your vision with content marketers, designers, copywriters, animators, photographers, and videographers. 
    • You get that social never sleeps, and you love the hustle of making sure fresh content is going out, and the conversation never stops.

What You'll Do

    • As Social Media Manager, you will create, implement, and constantly track and improve Blues organic social media strategy. You will have the unique opportunity to work creatively with a team to develop collaborations, competitions, and content for Blues on several social media platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, and Hackster) that will increase audience engagement and attract followers. 

    • Your primary goal is to use organic social to tell a brand story to support national brand awareness. Your secondary goal is to drive leads to the business via Shopify and our website. 
    • Create Blues 2023 social media strategy to deliver on our Brand and Business goals. 
    • Track KPIs including engagement metrics, traffic, growth, sales and installs, and revenue via in-app metrics and HubSpot. 
    • Partner with our Analyst to track, interpret and report on performance metrics. 
    • Host a monthly social media business review for the VP, Marketing focused on performance against the annual strategy.
    • Grow Blues social commerce presence for developers. 
    • Design and run an annual calendar of giveaways, competitions, and brand collaborations to foster engagement and reward Blues followers. 
    • Work directly with the Content Marketing Managers, Digital Content Creator, and Creative Team to produce content to execute on your social media strategy. 
    • Work with our Developer Relations Team to create content and foster a sense of community of social media among developers.

What You'll Bring

    • 3+ years of social media, influencer marketing or similar experience. 
    • Ability to work natively in LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter and Reddit. Experience with Reddit and Huckster is a bonus but not required. 
    • Demonstrated experience creating successful social media strategies and content for a brand or influencer. 
    • Demonstrated experience building an online community around a brand or influencer.
