Who We Are
Blues Wireless connects people and businesses with the real world by unlocking the vast untapped potential of cellular-based IoT. The Notecard is a simple, cost-effective embeddable cellular IoT solution. It just works, with no cellular subscription required. The cloud-based, multi-tenant Notehub provides a flexible, scalable platform for device and event management, event routing, and connected operations. We are a small, passionate team with decades of experience delivering enterprise-grade cloud services and the most powerful, easiest IoT tools on the market. For too long, IoT applications have been overly complex and costly to create, manage, and deploy at scale. We've built our platform from the ground up for simplicity and flexibility at scale. Our current customers use Blues for everything from real-time climate monitoring to connected appliances. With your help,  we will maximize the social and commercial potential of the Internet of Things.

Blues is seeking a Social Media Content Creator to join our Marketing team. We’re looking for an innovator to help define and grow our brand presence and community across priority social media platforms - LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit.

In this role, you will have a voice in defining and growing the Blues brand among enterprise B2C customers and developers. You will have a high degree of creative freedom on a team where risk-taking, experimentation, and iteration are celebrated, and the ‘best idea’ wins. We promise no slow and burdensome content approval processes. You will have colleagues who take care of all the planning and tracking work of social media so that you can just focus on what you love – creating digital content for social. We believe that the organic nature of social media and brand building go hand-in-hand. We believe social media engagement is more important than follower count. We care about your outputs and achievements, not micro-managing your inputs and day-to-day activity. If you want a job with the freedom to try out all the content that your current director or CMO will not allow you to, keep reading.

Who You Are

    • You are a creative who loves to produce digital content.
    • You have a strong passion for and understanding of social media platforms on which you spend hours every day - just for fun and because you love to learn new things.
    • You follow and predict brand and social trends in order to plan content and engagement tactics accordingly.
    • Because you are creatively minded, you know how to communicate your vision with social media managers, graphic designers, copywriters, animators, and other photographers and videographers.
    • You get that social never sleeps, and you love the hustle of making sure fresh content is going out, and the conversation never stops.
    • You are a quick study and a fast learner. You are studious and resourceful in learning a new business.
    • More than anything, you love to win as part of a team: You have a track record of creating and leveraging great content and building strong social media communities around a brand.

What You'll Do

    • Reporting to the Content Marketing Director, you will ideate and create organic social media content in the form of photography and videography for LinkedIn, YouTube,  Twitter, and Reddit for an enterprise B2B audience.
    • Your primary goal is to produce organic social media content that tells a brand story and grows Blues engagement and following on social among current and potential enterprise B2C customers.
    • You will also be instrumental in helping us develop and tell an ‘IoT for Good’ brand story.
    • You will collaborate with internal technical and non-technical teams to conceptualize and create or tweak original content so that it is distinctly Blues.
    • You will also work with those internal teams to turn their written content into video content.

What You'll Bring

    • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience working in photography, videography and media editing, social media, influencer marketing, or similar.
    • A portfolio of brand work that features both video and photography skills.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Exceptional social media savvy and a sharp understanding of what works on LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter.
    • Demonstrated experience creating successful content for a brand or influencer.
    • Podcast production abilities, including sound mixing, are a bonus but not required for this role.
    • A passion for tech would also be a bonus.
Culturally, we’re all builders. We make things that work! We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination. We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds will lead to a better environment for our employees and a better product for our users. We value this deeply and encourage everyone to come to be a part of unlocking the vast potential of cellular IoT.
