About you:
As a Linux Platform Engineer at Brilliant, you'll be responsible for shipping a stable and secure software core to power the Brilliant Control. You'll work closely with both the hardware and software teams in bringing up new board designs, qualifying new parts, and laying a solid foundation on which to build our application software.
What you will do:
o Support and exercise new hardware by adapting, customizing, and extending vendor code
o Implement and/or refine device hardening techniques to safeguard the Brilliant Control
o Streamline and automate workflows to reduce manual work and potential for error
About you:
o Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
o 6+ years of relevant experience
o Strong knowledge of C, particularly in a bootloader and/or kernel context
o Intimate familiarity with Linux (both kernel and userspace) and associated tooling
Preferred:
o Prior experience with embedded Linux build systems (such as Yocto or Buildroot)
o Experience bringing up Linux on an ARM Single Board Computer (SBC) or custom design
o Knowledge of Python
o Experience with industry best practices for device security (secure boot, encryption key management, process isolation, etc.)
