As a Solutions Engineer at Buildkite, you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical expertise and solutions to current and potential customers. You will work closely with the sales, customer success and product engineering teams to develop solutions that meet the needs of each customer. 

Areas of responsibility:
Work with the sales team to identify and qualify opportunities that align with Buildkite's product offeringsActively assist other Sales teams in pre-sales engineering responsibilitiesBuild and present demos and proofs of concept (POCs) that showcase the capabilities of Buildkite's software to potential customersUpskill our sales team technical knowledgeProvide technical support during POCs to facilitate ease of onboardingProvide technical expertise on Buildkite software products to customers and potential customersLead “lift and shift” projects for customers transitioning to Buildkite Collaborate with customers to understand their business processes and identify areas where Buildkite software can improve their workflowsWork with the product development team to provide feedback from customers and ensure that product features align with customer needsStay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging best practices in software development and deliveryParticipate in industry events, conferences and other sales and marketing activities to promote Buildkite's solutions and servicesAssist the sales team in closing deals by providing technical expertise and addressing customer concerns

What we want from you
Strong knowledge in CI/CD tools such as Buildkite, Jenkins, CircleCI  or GitLabExperience with Devops technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and TerraformDeep understanding in build technologies such as Bazel, Gradle, iOS Expertise in Cloud technologies - AWS and GCP preferredExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and develop solutions to customer needsExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
