We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Payroll Controller & Bookkeeper to oversee the company’s payroll operations and lead the bookkeeping function. This role requires both strong technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure accurate financial records, compliant payroll processes, and efficient day-to-day accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing.
- Ensure adherence to local labor, tax, and social security regulations.
- Manage payroll reporting, employee benefits, deductions, and compliance filings.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related matters (internal and external).
- Supervise and manage the bookkeeping team, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Oversee AP/AR processes, bank reconciliations, and monthly closings.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
- Implement controls and procedures to strengthen accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Audit support and ad-hoc related tasks.
Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Controller
- Certified Bookkeeper type 2 or above
- 3+ years of experience working in a global company as a Payroll Controller
- Knowledge and experience with NetSuite and Hilan- an advantage
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English - an advantage
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills • Comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
- Accurate, dedicated with good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Maintain and promote a high degree of service and confidentiality
