All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply, including individuals with disabilities and Protected Veterans.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Located within the Audit and Loss Prevention Department, the Lead Data Analyst, Audit will work both independently and closely with the Corporate Audit team, Field Audit team, and Loss Prevention Department to assist in the continuous enhancement of the data analytics audit program. Lead Data Analyst, Audit will be responsible for the following:
Supervise, coach, and mentor the Data Analytics team to improve overall effectiveness and efficiencies.
Maintain and develop a positive team environment. Build individual skills and develop improved management and communication through delegation, cross-training and accountability.
Manage multiple projects, assignments and priorities simultaneously.
Work with the Corporate Audit team on enhancing the data analytics program.
Work with the Corporate Audit team to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and identify ways to enhance audit programs through change and continuous monitoring.
Development of scripts and ad-hoc queries using company-provided data analytic tools to assist with efficient and effective audit testing and support of continuous auditing and monitoring initiatives.
Support the Corporate Audit team from a data analytic and data mining standpoint for all compliance (including Sarbanes-Oxley), operational, consulting, and management requested audits.
Gain an understanding of all key systems, data, business processes, and audit objectives to identify opportunities to provide analytic services to assist the Audit and Loss Prevention Department.
Provide sustainable services by independently assessing and challenging the data analytic program and existing scripts/queries to help improve efficiencies, completeness, and accuracy of testing.
Assist in the completion of special projects using data analytic tools.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Technology, Data Analytics, or a related Technology field from an accredited institution Preferred:Professional certifications such as CFE, CISA, and CIAKNOWLEDGE %26amp; EXPERIENCE:Required:
3-5 years of auditing and/or data analytic experience
Experience in using Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Dataiku, Snowflake, SQL Server, Toad, Business Objects, or other data analysis tools.
Experience with development and understanding of SQL queries that can be utilized as part of continuous auditing and monitoring initiatives.
Strong data analytic skills and experience with extracting, understanding, formatting, mapping, and cleansing data for use in data analytic procedures, primarily from ERP's and reporting systems.
Understanding of internal control concepts and frameworks (COSO, COBIT) as well as other leading business and IT control security frameworks (ITIL, PCI).
General understanding of IT process, business processes, and data flows to help identify key risks and opportunities to implement the use of data analytic procedures.
Advanced knowledge of data analysis and data mining techniques
Detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong data analytic and communication skills
Must be able to clearly report, communicate, and present on data analytic procedures utilized, key issues identified, business impact, and recommendations for improvement to Senior Management.
Leadership ability to provide direction and drive change and improvement
Self-motivated and possess a continuous improvement mindset
Preferred:
Familiarity with other technical environments such as Unix, Linux, Windows, Oracle databases, SQL databases, or Active Directory
Experience in hiring, training, evaluating work performance and educating team members
