We are looking to add a Senior RF Communication System Engineer I to our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about developing leading-edge phased arrays for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems, we would like to hear from you.
 
In this position, you will own integration and verification of space communication systems involving RF, digital hardware, and software. Key projects will include developing and managing RF setups and software for modem and link verification. The successful candidate is meticulous, has an end-to-end system mindset, is exceptionally strong in both RF engineering and software development, and enjoys cross-team interaction. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Define, design, implement, and maintain measurement/test solutions for link/modem validation.
    • Define and analyze calibration and metrology aspects (statistical error analysis, confidence levels, error budgets). 
    • Develop modular, reusable software in Python (or similar languages) to be implemented in a variety of setups.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot link-performance issues.
    • Interact with DSP/HW/SW team to improve system performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with RF measurement and instrumentation.
    • Minimum of 2 years of programming experience using Python, LabVIEW, SQL, or Embedded C.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • Linux operating systems, VLANs, and network security.
    • Hands-on RF measurement experience (analyzers, vector signal generators, power sensors, network analyzers).
    • Physical-layer modem algorithms/standards (DVB-S2, CCSDS, 5G NTN).
    • Hands-on link-performance measurement experience (link/protocol testers, channel emulators).
    • Experience in collaborative software design (GIT, code reviews).
    • Antenna range experience and OTA experiment design.
    • Experience in RF test automation (SCPI, test executive).
    • Statistical analysis and metrology.
