About the Agency
Our client, eu-LISA, is the European Union Agency responsible for operating large-scale IT systems that help keep Europe safe and support cooperation in areas like security, migration, and justice. Civitta provides temporary workers to eu-LISA.

We are looking for 
Senior Accountant to support the Accounting Office within the Corporate Services Department.

The position is based in Tallinn, Estonia. It is primarily an on-site role with the possibility of hybrid working, in line with eu-LISA's policies.

About the Job
In this role, you will support the Agency’s financial management and accounting processes, contributing to timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and auditors to ensure adherence to EU financial and accounting standards and facilitate continuous improvements in reporting and automation.

What will you do:

    • Support payments, revenue collection, and recovery of receivables.
    • Perform financial reconciliations and control checks to maintain accounting accuracy.
    • Assist in asset management and year-end closure activities.
    • Help draft annual accounts in accordance with eu-LISA’s Financial Rules.
    • Collect and validate information from Authorising Officers for financial reporting.
    • Monitor IPSAS and EU accounting rules and assess their application.
    • Validate systems that provide accounting data.
    • Support the transition from ABAC to SUMMA (SAP S/4HANA).Assist in internal/external audits and implement audit recommendations.
    • Contribute to developing workflows, guidelines, and reporting processes.
    • Enhance reporting through automation tools (Power BI or similar).
    • Perform other financial duties as required.

What is required of your profile:

    • A university degree (minimum 3 years) awarded by an EU Member State, or recognized as equivalent.
    • Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a public or international organisation.
    • Sound understanding of accrual-based accounting and EU Financial Regulations.
    • Good command of written and spoken English (minimum B2).Experience with Power BI or similar tools is an asset.
    • Knowledge of ABAC or SAP (SUMMA) is considered an advantage.
    • You hold the nationality of an EU Member State, or of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Switzerland.
    • Ability to work independently in a multicultural environment and deliver results under tight deadlines.
