Commercial Team at Coda
The mission of Coda’s Commercial Team is to ensure the success of Coda by committing ourselves to the success of our digital content and service partners. The Commercial Team achieves this mission by leading the development and growth of global Publishing Partnerships (deployment of situationally dependent monetization solutions to expand revenue and margin for Coda’s gaming and creator partners), Payment Partnerships (execution and management of payment channel relationships that provide access to both payment methods and promotional reach), and Distribution Partnerships (execution of partnerships that expand the reach of distribution, monetization and promotional efforts conducted on behalf of gaming and creator partners).
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team managing partnerships with digital-content publishers and payment ecosystems across the Americas and EMEA, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Define and execute a comprehensive sales and partnership strategy, aligning regional goals with global GTM objectives.
- Identify key markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities, leveraging insights on industry trends, monetization strategies, and emerging technologies.
- Own global commercial relationships, collaborating with account directors, account managers, and cross-functional teams to strengthen engagement and business success.
- Establish and grow publisher partnerships by optimizing deal structures, refining GTM strategies, and ensuring long-term value creation.
- Drive the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation to deal closure—maintaining a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting and sustainable revenue growth.
- Partner with marketing, finance, product, engineering, and legal teams to enhance cross-selling opportunities and market penetration.
- Develop compelling sales pitches and presentations for key decision-makers, coaching the team on negotiation tactics and deal execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, setting clear performance metrics, tracking OKRs, and providing coaching to drive success.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align GTM initiatives, optimize lead generation, and execute regional marketing campaigns.
- Analyze sales and partnership performance, providing insights to senior leadership for ongoing strategic improvements.
Requirements
- At least 12-15 years in sales or business development leadership roles; knowledge of payments and gaming industries is preferred.
- Experience enabling a professional B2B sales organization within a SaaS or a similar company.
- A strong track record of leading teams to high effectiveness, with a keen ability to manage both high-performing and underperforming talent.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and eager to contribute to a high-growth business.
- Competent and experienced in business development, marketing, regulatory and legal aspects, product development, and finance.
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated.
- Excellent presentation and leadership skills.
