We are a talented and ambitious team of 100+, working at the cutting edge of multimodal and visual AI, backed by top investors, including CRV and Y Combinator, leading industry executives like Luc Vincent, former VP of AI at Meta, and other top Bay Area leaders in AI. We are one the fastest growing companies in our space, and consistently rated as the best product in the market by our customers. We have big plans ahead and are looking for our first SF-based Senior Talent Partner to join us in building our commercial team, starting with Sales (Account Execs, SDRs, Account Managers).
The Role
You will be Encord’s first recruiter on the ground in the US. You’ll be partnering with our founder and senior GTM leadership on building out our commercial function – bringing to Encord company-defining talent to sustain the next stage of our hyper-growth.
You'll work to define and execute a high-quality hiring engine. You’ll drive everything from sourcing, outreach and candidate closing, to getting our brand out, to process design. You’ll help us recruit top-tier talent and ensure candidates know Encord is one of the best places to build a career.
We are building a very different type of talent function, focused on quality rather than volume. This role is for someone who wants to be embedded with senior leaders, have real ownership, and help shape the foundations of Encord's team as we continue to scale!
About you
- You have 3+ years of experience in a hyper-growth start-up or similarly fast-paced, high accountability environment. You know what great looks like in terms of talent and hold a high bar - but you're also pragmatic, fast-moving and solutions-oriented.
- You’re entrepreneurial and want to be part of building a business. You’re not looking for a narrow recruiter role; you want ownership, influence, and to play a key role in shaping a team through our scaling journey.
- You have a track record of exceptional performance, whether in work, academics, sports, or anywhere else you’ve applied yourself. People trust you to get stuff done & you've built a great network in the startup & scale-up ecosystem.
- You’re a ruthless prioritiser, highly organised, and focused on outcomes over inputs. You’re efficient, leveraging AI throughout all your processes, and autonomous without compromising on quality, and you always nail the basics on process, comms, and ATS hygiene.
- You’re outcomes-focused, with a strong bias to action. You don’t get stuck in process or theory, you move things forward, fast and get to the right answer by testing. You can hire for both high-volume and specialised searches for niche roles.
- You’re a great communicator, i.e. clear, concise, and persuasive. You can write great outreach, pitch to a passive candidate, have exceptional behavioural and competency-based interviewing skills, and can hold your own in a strategic conversation with senior leaders.
- You’re proactive and crave accountability. You don’t wait for instructions; you figure out what’s needed and make it happen. You can execute with little guidance & lots of ambiguity.
