As our Marketplace Experience Lead, you will be at the forefront of transforming the residential construction industry. Your operational expertise and leadership skills will be essential in developing the systems, standards and incentives that result in quality experiences for our pros and homeowners. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help optimize workflows, boost revenue, and strategically steer our marketplace evolution.

What you'll do

    • Set clear quality standards and implement systems and incentives that ensure Pros thrive in our platform, and by extension, homeowners have a delightful experience
    • Collaborate with Product to design workflows that optimize both the Pros and Homeowner experience
    • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to identify deficiencies and incorporate learning into new standards and systems, driving smooth project flow and revenue growth
    • Define standards and experience for new service categories to be brought onto our platform, enabling Cottage to scale in terms of project types and geographic reach
    • Be the voice of our customer and bring lessons learned and feedback collected to inform product development cycles. 
    • Guide a team of subject matter experts through the transition to a dynamic marketplace model, supporting their growth and ensuring a smooth experience
    • Lead position to own revenue metrics, quality standards and CSAT. 

What you'll need

    • 5+ years of strategic operations experience, including at least 2+ years within a tech/marketplace environment
    • Experience leading teams and driving change within an organization
    • A data-driven and analytical approach to problem-solving, internal process optimization and streamlining complex workflows
    • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of collaborating effectively with product and engineering teams
    • Desire and ability to learn quickly, take professional initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Nice to have: industry knowledge or personal experience with architecture or construction

Cottage is a hybrid workplace. Candidates must be willing to work from our downtown San Francisco office 3 days a week (Mon, Tues and Wed).
