DeepJudge is an AI-powered legaltech startup founded by three ex-Googlers and AI PhDs with the mission to empower legal teams to harness their internal data to make strategic decisions. With DeepJudge Search we are bringing SOTA information retrieval technology to internal document collections of large corporations, law firms, and government agencies. We are based in Zurich, Switzerland, but cater to clients all around the world.
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team at DeepJudge. As a Lead Frontend Engineer, you will have the opportunity to massively impact the look and feel of our application and make major decisions about our frontend codebase from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Lead frontend architecture decisions, creating sustainable, performant, and reusable front-end systems
- Advocate for and implement best practices, developing and maintaining a high-quality codebase
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Work together with our designer to define and implement polished and user-friendly experiences
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to members of the engineering team
- Identify and resolve product performance and scalability issues
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the Deepjudge team to build an excellent product
Requirements:
- Degree in a technical discipline, preferably computer science
- Experience with front-end development using HTML, CSS, Typescript, and React/NextJS or similar frontend frameworks
- Experience with the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Problem-solving aptitude and enthusiasm for overcoming challenges
- Experience with having responsibility or ownership of a production codebase (or a subset of one)
- Experience working in a startup environment is a plus
