About the role
As VP Product Management, you will report to the Chief Product Officer and manage a small, growing team of Product Managers. You will be responsible for the technical vision and development of energy vault products, including our gravitational storage solutions as well as battery energy storage systems (BESS). You will create and refine our product roadmaps and building scalable processes. Alongside our commercial professionals, you will meet with existing and potential clients and listen to and understand their situations and challenges. You and your team will collaborate closely with engineering and operations to address client needs. You will track our performance on recently established KPIs, making adjustments for where we are falling short and celebrating wins and key milestones.

What you will you do

    • Further your deep understanding of our renewable energy storage industry, our products and technology, our processes, our people, and our past, present, and future.
    • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of product managers.
    • Product planning, roadmaps, and lifecycle management.
    • Iterate and evangelize product strategies that evolve regularly in our early stage.
    • Own the progress, communication, and monthly reporting for Product KPIs.
    • Prepare and update slides for Board, client, team, and other stakeholder presentations.
    • Anticipate common questions and misconceptions with clients; facilitate regular communication with customers.
    • Create, update, share, automate, and tell stories from spreadsheets and data dashboards.
    • Collaborate, follow up with, and influence engineers and other technical and operational professionals regarding goals, timelines, budgets, forecasts, challenges, and bottlenecks.

What a qualified candidate should possess

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
    • 15+ years of experience in product management.
    • Proven success leading product teams, preferably in the energy storage industry.
    • Comfort in start up/early stage rapid growth fast paced environments.
    • Expert-level listening skills; high level of emotional intelligence and humility.
    • Track record of crafting go-to-market strategies and campaigns in collaboration with commercial teams.
    • Deep understanding of complex technical systems.
    • Global product experience.
    • Customer-centric mindset.
    • Successful history of building and implementing data-driven processes to turn a vision into an actionable roadmap.
    • Experience as a people leader.
    • Experience in public companies is a plus.
    • Comfort in fast-paced, rapid growth environments is a plus.
