You will be a key player in designing and implementing product features. This is a highly technical role requiring excellent coding skills. You will be responsible for developing a powerful, intuitive enterprise level data platform built on Java, Python and Kafka.Responsibilities
Hands-On active collaboration as core member of a software engineering team focused on providing data acquisition pipelines as part of a highly secure, scalable, and robust platform in an aggressive timeframe.
Develop highly efficient and reliable systems for data centric products and services on an AWS cloud-based platform
Construct, support and operate high volume data pipelines and AI/ML workflows
Integrate 3rd Party or Internal API and file-based services utilizing CSV, JSON, or XML data
Diligently observe and maintain Standards for Regulatory Compliance and Information Security
Without fail deliver and maintain accurate, complete, and current documentation
Contribute to and promote full Agile cycle engagements, including meetings, iterative development, estimations, code reviews and design sessions
Lead, mentor and collaborate with other team members
Timely delivery of documented and tested software to the platform software engineering team.
Own deliverables from ideation to production operationalization

Qualifications
10+ years of software development experience building and testing applications following secure coding practices
Currently collaborating as a hands-on team member developing and supporting a significant commercial data project in Python
Proven proficiency developing in production quality data processing/pipeline systems in Python, Java, and Kafka
Current cloud technology experience, preferably AWS (MKS, S3, RDS, Lambda)
Experience integrating with async messaging, logging, or queues, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS.
A strong proven proficiency in SQL and NoSQL based data access and management
Demonstrable familiarity with CI/CD process, testing frameworks and practices (CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CLI, etc.)
Knowledgeable and experienced with software and system patterns and their application in prior work
Extensive experience gathering and assessing specifications and requirements
Comfortable in a dynamic environment, with ability and willingness to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects

Additional Preferred Experience
Experience supporting data science efforts and machine learning systems
Experience developing and supporting ElasticSearch based solutions
Experience with machine learning based solutions including mlflow and scikit-learn
Extensive experience building systems supporting financial services businesses
Familiarity creating and using Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift
Security and privacy compliance (GPDR, CCPA, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) experience a plus
Knowledge and/or use of DDA, FDX, OFX, and/or FIX
Hands-on experience with Snowflake is highly desirable
Recent hands-on Experience building supporting commercial systems managing PII, secure or sensitive data and transactions including server-side development developing APIs including REST/JSON APIs
