The Field Technician will provide regional onsite support for FLASH customers, who are local to a specific area. With the support of the FLASH Support Services team, the Field Technician will be responsible for:

● Providing regional onsite support across multiple garages and parking lots that use all different
types of FLASH PARCS equipment, ensuring that the Flash Parking equipment is fully functioning
as well as troubleshooting issues that may arise.
● Overseeing the onsite installation tasks, when an installation occurs; this includes supporting
associated installation contractors, making low voltage terminations, completing network
installation, starting up and testing the equipment, and providing onsite training to the client.
● Communicating project updates to the Project Manager.
● Communicating when repairs are complete to the client.
● Document issues/resolutions daily in a ticketing system.
● Work with their manager to schedule/coordinate work and repairs for hardware failures that
require contracted vendor involvement.
● Wearing and using PPE in accordance with our policies as reviewed in our FLASH University PPE
Course.

The Field Technician may be assigned a company vehicle if their role requires it. When the company provides vehicles for field technicians, they are to drive for company-designated business only. The Fleet Vehicle SOP covers the policies for driving a company vehicle as well as for employees who wish to use their personal vehicle for company-designated business and reimbursement for costs associated with this business use.

Experience & Knowledge:

    • Experience with increasing responsibility in a technical field, preferably in a parking industry related environment, typically acquired through 2-5 years of experience.
    • Experience communicating with colleagues and customers in a technical support environment.
    • Customer success, project coordination or technical experience.
    • PARCS experience, Access Control/CCTV experience, CompTIA A+, Network+ certifications are preferred
    • A candidate will be successful in this role if they have experience in parking/mobility tech, have strong customer facing communication skills and have an organized and flexible approach to the competing priorities which arise on any given day. This dynamic role provides an excellent path to growth within Field Operations or into many other roles within our growing organization.

What you will do when performing the Field Technician Role:

    • Manage installations with guidance of Project Manager - leveraging internal and partner relationships to fully understand the scope and nature of each assigned project as per the project manager.
    • Commission and test all aspects and functionality of Flash equipment at the completion of installation.
    • Service, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
    • Be responsible for completing commissioning documents, onsite hardware client training, other written and verbal communications as necessary to the project and team communication.
    • Make final terminations - low voltage control and network wiring connecting to the units/devices.
    • Ensure client is fully educated and trained on use and maintenance of all hardware, systems, and equipment.
    • Exhibit strong professional business ethics, including: building and maintaining constructive
    • working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating FlashParking’s core values.
    • Ensure all hardware, systems, equipment are tested and working properly before leaving clients locations.
    • Be familiar with various gate manufacturers and model/types in order to successfully program multiple variations per project nature and scope.
$31 - $36 an hour
