Position Overview
Flossy is a fast-growing Series A startup on a mission to disrupt the broken dental insurance industry by helping everyone access quality dental care at negotiated prices. We are looking for a talented and experienced UX Designer to join our team and help us build the future of dental care.
As the sole UX Designer at Flossy, you'll play a key role in defining the early Flossy product experience, shaping customers' impressions of Flossy from first touch all the way through follow-up appointments. Using various design techniques, you'll work through this problem space from beginning to end.
Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end design process for our product and marketing features, starting from initial sketches and concept development to delivering Figma files that are ready for implementation.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to ensure the implementation of designs align with the intended user experience.
* Stay at the forefront of design trends, techniques, and best practices in the dynamic healthcare industry.
* Champion user-centered design principles within our organization, advocating for the user's perspective in decision-making processes.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of professional full-time experience in UX design
* Strong portfolio showcasing successful consumer-facing projects
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Expert knowledge of mobile (iOS/Android) and responsive web UX best practices
* Strong understanding of design principles, information architecture, and interaction design
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders
* Continuous desire to hone your craft and learn/incorporate best practices

$135,000 - $175,000 a year
At Flossy, base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 to $175,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
